Looks nice on flat mounted antisink plates. However - on nyx where tips are on angle - it won't work perfectly and light will illuminate ceiling and upcoming people's eyes
Sos mode is the greatest way to be seen even if everyone else hates it. Extremely bright, do not sine into eyes you will see black spots... I know from personal experience.
Very high quality super bright I love the design how you can remove it off the board without having to unscrew anything as well I do wish it would have came with an extra clip in case you wanted to clip it onto your shirt or something but I'm sure you can get that off of the actual light website
These lights are brighter than you could ever need. The battery on them didn’t last quite as long as I had hoped but it was at least 2 hours of continuous night riding before they died on a full charge.
Lights are great on road and very nice off road. Very bright at night, during a day you may satisfy legal requirements (like bikers have to have). Bit pitty they are too low. The holders could rise them a little. A bit grown grass blocking the light. Anyway I knew it before buy. Good thing is that lights have magnetic buttoms, so lights are usable elsewhere... Could be good if Acedeck create some headlamp holder to use it out of board too.
The light itself is a Wuben E7 with purpose made mount attached to it. Having used the light previously as a headlamp, this version is the same as that one, excellent. For others looking at buying this light, the stock 18350 is good enough for most night rides but if you want to go longer or charge less often, Wuben sells an extension tube for the E7 that you can buy on Amazon to fit an 18650 battery for a far longer run time.
The mount is excellent. My light does vibrate in the mount over harsh roads but the sound isn’t audible over the road and motor sounds. It holds whatever angle you set at solidly and the detaching mechanism is far easier to use than shredlight’s mounting system. Compared to two Shredlights Sl1000s, the user experience is far more seamless and is functionally as bright.
The light mounting system, specific to Acedeck boards and their independent suspension system is genius! With the way the lights end up mounted, they could easily be mistaken for being fully integrated and built directly into the truck system. Not only do they look good, the functionality of having the lights mounted to the truck system works very well for illuminating the path ahead, and the lights are tucked away and not an obstacle to work around like other light systems that are deck mounted.
This light seems really nice. It's definitely high quality, but it's winter so I haven't actually used it yet. I like that it has a removeable battery so I can carry fully charged spares.
The light for nyz z3 are very powerfull.
The drawbacks: on the units I received, on one of the brackets all the screw holes that mount to the light were striped. On the other one, all the screws were not tight. And you don't get a hex for the Screws, which are tiny so you need unusual one, luckly I had one.
They are still on after 2 rides, but not sure how long before the screws come out.
The mounting brackets are the same, and not mirrored. Meaning that the release button is facing the rim on the left light, a bit annoying.
They don't come with instruction on how to mount, I did manage to find a video on their youtube channel, but I did spend 30 minutes to figure things out, since the first time I put them they hit the wheel. I've build my own eskate in the past, so I'm not an avverage consumer, and it was a hastle to fit them. Also you unscrew locktite screws so you should replace the locktite in the hubs.
The horizon I purchased is the biggest piece of s@#$ I have ever purchased. I'm having to buy new hardware cause they did not believe me when I told them it had a bad vibration. Now being my 3 month old board rides like I have had it for years. I sent video trying to show problem. But technicians said it was normal. Gave me a set of tires for the back hoping to solve problem. Not !! Now having to replace half the hardware myself. Thanks Acedeck for great customer service and great technician's thanks for taking my money and giving me a sh#$& board that I'm having to still dump more money in to fix myself.
Price is rather ridiculous at $88 but these seem to be extremely well made and are designed to bolt right into place so I bit the bullet instead of trying to make something else work.
I have an acedeck nyx z3
It's quite possibly the best thing I've ever owned. I snowboard, surf and also skateboard but this is like combining all 3 and having your own magic carpet to ride on or off road. So easy to dial in to how you like the board to feel and respond with the various adjustments both on the board and the remote.
This lights set just amplified the experience by now riding at night and not just being seen but also to see the terrain ahead. Lovely cnc work as ever .very nice finish and build quality.
They are great for up close but when it comes to trying to see a little further down the road, they don't shine too too bright. I don't intend to do much night riding but just something to look into for people who ride in dark areas.
It's a great light, super bright and a wide view. My only issues is the mount. It doesn't fit around the light perfectly so the whole time I'm riding I hear that rattling around. Might try something like filling the shaking spots with silicone or something and hopefully that works well. I did try tightening all the screws as well, were all tight.
