This review is for the N3 Belt Drive version. I’m writing this from the perspective of a new skater at 63 years old and having very limited experience on any kind of skateboard. I took up skateboarding a few months ago, pushed around a little on a longboard, then bought a beginner eskate a couple weeks ago.
I bought the Nomad N3 Belt Drive after a lot of research. My short list included the Acedeck Ares, OMW Cavalry, Onsra Black Carve, and Tyne Explorer.
A quick note on the belt drive decision. Yes, belt drives require more frequent maintenance, but I can replace a belt and pulley while sitting on a 7-11 sidewalk. This can’t be said for a gear drive system.
Just for reference, I’m a 62 year old rider with about 150 miles of eskate experience on a WowGo 3e. I’m 6’2” and 200 lbs.
I selected the N3 because of range, power deck size/shape, and honestly, the high end CNC work on the trucks and wheels (The OMW came close in the last category.)
The N3 does not disappoint, the build quality is outstanding. It is well made and it looks and feels extremely high end.
Out of the box it had about 50% battery. I checked the bolts and air pressure and went for a ride. L mode is slow and has a very slow acceleration rate. A brand new rider could use L mode. I quickly went to E mode. A good speed for me and decent acceleration, but by no means aggressive. As a fairly new rider, I am very comfortable with E mode. The speed and acceleration in E mode is not much more than my SowGo 3E. Slightly more punchy, but not a dramatic difference, this is fine by me as I can run off the board if necessary. I did not try S or S+ and probably won’t for a couple hundred more miles.
Carving took some adjustment due to the pneumatic fires. My entire experience has been on PU wheels. The weight of the board and the rotating mass of the big wheels and tires requires a more forceful swing of the hips and shoulders to overcome straight line inertia. It took me four or five blocks, but then I was carving like normal. The standard bushings seem ok to me contrary to the professional reviews. Maybe Acedeck upgraded since then. I will add Riptide bushings at a higher durometer rating, but I was surprised that these are ok after all the bitching from the YouTube influencers.
Braking is excellent. The board was set on 100% braking and that worked really well for me without any fear or sense of being thrown off. The higher modes might need the brake setting rolled back.
The deck is spectacular for me. I wear a size 14 shoe that hung off both sides of the WowGo 3E beginner board. I lock in very comfortably on the N3 right in the drop-down radius and just past the W concave. It’s as if they designed this deck for my feet.
The remote is just OK. It is almost the same as the stock Hobbywing plastic remote that came with my $400 WowGo 3E. The Acedeck version has a bunch of tuning options built in where the WowGo uses the Tuya app, but basically the same functionality. I ordered the metal protective cover.
So far, this board is nothing short of amazing. As a new rider, I can confirm that this board is just fine for people starting out so long as you exercise self control and stay away from S and S+ modes. In fact, my confidence is much higher on this board than the WowGo.
The negatives.
Not much to complain about, but at this price, perfection is my expectation. The N3 is close, but not perfect.
1. There should be an option for PU wheels. This thing has a massive battery that would have ride height issues with small wheels, but still, I’d like the option. Maybe someone will eventually make a 150mm PU wheel. I’d try it.
2. The remote is basic. Other than the built in tuning, the remote is the same as starter pack %300 hub drive boards. My WowGo can do mostly the same tuning things, albeit with the app.
3. No rear bash guard or front handle comes standard with the N3 belt drive. By the time you spend $200 on a bash guard and handle, you’re halfway to the cost of the gear drive boards, which has the handle as stock (I’m not sure about the bash guard.)
Conclusion?
An excellent board with outstanding performance and superb quality. I’m glad I bought it.
This is a premium no-compromises skateboard. My friend has a linnpower 'the one' skate and fortunately for me. Every girl we have asked says my skate is better. Love this skate to death, there isn't much better than this out there. Especially at that price point.
This is the closest i’ve ever felt to surfing the street. The best way I can describe it is a magic carpet. I can’t wait to put some miles on this thing and discover Sport and Sport+ mode. Best money i’ve ever spent PERIOD.
This will be a follow-up to my last review. I find this board to be phenomenal. It is as tough as it is nice to look at. I ordered riptide bushings and pivot cups. Before they arrived my stock bushings were broke in and I have them dialed perfectly. It was recommended online to swap out bushings but I believe acedeck has improved there setup and they are no longer required. I am still yet a new rider. This is my second board though. Other one is Isinwheel v8. Do not like it at all. Not even five miles on it and rear bushings are collapsed. I say again this board is exactly what I thought it was going to be. I am 174 lbs. and this board is perfect. Hope this review helps. I have the nomad n3 performance with the p42a molicel batteries. Right after I purchased they removed it and now only have elite available.
Greetings and hello my fellow skaters. I have the Nomad N3 endurance. The board has been more than well. I finally need tires after 840 miles. Almost a year old. Not a single issue unlike my other board. I will not mention the company don't want to bash it. However the battery died for no good reason. The Nomad N3 just keeps going. Extremely fast and reliable. I currently do not need customer service. Once it is time to order parts, i'm sure the service will be well. I appreciate the experience. Thanks again for quality. Only regret is I wish I purchased the Nomad N3 over the other board. I own it now and thats what matters.
I will be writing two reviews. 1. Unboxing and impeccable quality control.
2. Riding and overall impression.
So unboxing was so much better than I had expected and I saw many unboxing videos. They don’t show you how well the nomad n3 is packaged. I don’t care how abusive shipping companies can get as long as acedeck continues with the same shipping quality your board will arrive in good shape.
The board looks better in person. It is beautiful.
All the accessories were packaged well. Unfortunately, I thought it came with grease for first service but I looked in every nook and cranny and there was not any.
Not a big deal.
I opened up the gear box and it was lubed perfectly.
All the wheels were tight. All screws. Everything was perfect.
I will update after ride.
This was my first electric skateboard. In 2022, one of my friends let me ride his board, and from that moment, I realized that I would someday want to learn to ride similar things :) With this purchase, I got a board that can smoke almost everything that rides on the streets, and 2/3 of the battery lasts me for 45+ km at a fast pace. In group rides, it performs quite well even compared to other more powerful boards. A special shoutout to customer service; they've helped me out more than once with their support.
Truly a robust and powerful beast! Build quality is top of the chart and the well engineered design makes handling at high speeds surprisingly comfortable. Even sub freesing temperatures and snow won’t slow this thing down too much. Gravel, sand, potholes and curbs are all manageable with this flying carpet!
Store owner replied:
Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! Ride safe and enjoy every moment—we appreciate your support!
The board arrived quickly and in great shape. It's been a joy to ride, swapped out bushings for Riptides, and upgraded the remote. It's a heavy board with zero flex, took a bit to get used to coming from a Vanguard deck
Board looks unreal and the torque is something i wont get bored anytime soon but for speed, i would love to get some more of it in the future. Something between 70-90kmh would be perfect for us adrenaline junkies 😅
Thanks!
Love the N3. Im near 50 and haven't skated since a kid. I had no problem getting fairly comfortable on this board pdq. It has way more power than I'm capable of exploring at the moment. 200 miles of enjoyment in a short time span. Turns lots of heads. Haven't gone on a ride without receiving a question and or compliment.
Having paid up for the N1 Violet the chance came up to buy the N3 so I did and what an incredible board. Sure it's big but with that comes massive power and solid stability. I have krank white 93a business on front and back and it's surprisingly carvey. Full ower in S+ out the box is shocking but I just love that rush when I'm up for it. There's nothing out there that comes close for the price. As for range even on this version I'm hitting 60-70kms with varying modes (usually S and S+). When I want to chill and ride street I have other boards, so I don't have to compromise with just one.
The Nomad n3 Elite has been such a worthwhile purchase! This board far surpassed my expectations in every way. Power, control, braking, confidence of ride, top speed, RANGE!!! The nomad has further range than I do. Real world 50 miles at 15-20 mph average!
I've been really enjoying my purchase and can't wait to try a different style board! Dollar for dollar I could not find any other competitors who offered the motor/battery combination that this deck offered WITH a full metal gear driven systen!!
The drive train in combination with the range, rideability and confidence made the purchase a literal no brainer if you do your research. Not to mention the price point.
Oh and you can't discount the fabulous cnc machined components of the deck which make up just about every single part.
10/10 would purchase again!
The board is big, but it should be! The feeling of riding is simply incredible! The acceleration on the first ride blew me off the board, literally!!!😂 Once again, thanks to the Acedeck team for the great equipment!!!!
I got the belt drive version and its been a blast. I've got 360 miles on it and not a single issue. Trucks are beautiful, turn/carve beautifully the construction/quality is impeccable. The pulleys are made of metal, very nice. Still can't believe I got 1295whr for $1500. Super solid board, and quite stable at 37mph with the split angle geometry. I'm very happy
This board is perfect. I ride it 30 miles to work when the weather allows and it is a blast. The range is perfect. The tube tires and the perfect size and very smooth. Very stable it full speed.
Nomad N3 Elite. My first esk8. I'm VERY critical of things that cost this much money but I can find only a couple minor things with this board that need attention. Fit and finish...9/10. Surprisingly quiet, which was a big selling point for me. As for the power, it doesn't know if I weigh 50lbs or 250 lbs. It doesn't matter. If I never used S or S+ mode, it wouldn't matter, there's still more than I'll ever need. When my friends ask about the torque, I describe it as "pretty much violent". I am a bit confused about the lack of a heat sink plate on the bottom as with all the others I've seen though. I have not been able to get an answer about this.
The Acedeck Horizon Elite is genuinely impressive. Build quality is top-tier, with a solid and refined finish. It delivers smooth acceleration, strong torque, and handles high speeds and hills with ease. Battery life easily supports long rides, and overall performance feels premium. Highly recommend for anyone after a serious electric upgrade.
So much fun! I'm glad I did my research and found Acedeck, penny per pound the best deal for your money. Being a bigger rider (240LB) I can still smoke all my friends in a race and ride farther than any of them. The Nomad N3 was a great choice and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Nomad N3
Great board, just updated the bushings for the Riptide krank 93a, with flat washers in front, cup washers on rhe rear, and New Riptide pivot indi.
The range is perfect, the power is ... FEAR !
It s like you are riding a ccloud, just ... it s a storm cloud !

This board!!!! I can’t express how much I love this thing. The torque, speed and range are just incredible. It’s also incredibly quiet. I’ve been esk8ing for years and I didn’t know what I was missing out on until this arrived. It’s such a great board. Hats off to Acedeck!
Love the board so far! My previous board was a Boosted Stealth, and wow, it exceeds in every aspect. Dont expect to carry it around though XD. Customer service has also been a delight.

Overall I am blown away by the N3. The power, range and build quality of the board are top notch. It is built like a tank and feels unstoppable, however I can't say the same for the remote.
After my second ride I dropped the remote on the ground which broke the throttle control so it no longer centers to neutral position. I will be contacting customer service to see what can be done.
Overall this board has been awesome from the few hours I rode it. I would reccomend getting the metal frame for the remote, hopefully it is just a flaw in the plastics that led to the failure on my particular device.
The Nomad N3 is such a great board. It covers juer about everything that I was looking for in my next eSk8. The battery range is insane, the hill climb, the comfortable ride, the smoothness of the wheels and gear drive make this perfect for my daily rider.
Thank you Acedeck for such a great board.
[Nomad N3 | 1305 gear drive]
Beautiful board. Perhaps the best deck design ever. My first gear drive board and it’s quite something. My buddy has the NYX Z3 and between the two of us we fell like we have it all. The truck mount angles really do something sweet to the carving and stability. The deck is sick! The trucks loosen up as you use it out of the box so be prepared to tighten down a bit as time goes on, especially if you like top speeding on roads that may or may not be the smoothest. The tires and trucks do a great job handling those roads as well as the trucks which are mounted to this sick freaking deck which has downhill grade foam grip tape on it. I feel glued to the board which feels glued to the road. I look forward to many rides with this amazing board.
This board is unbelievably smooth. Although for me it's going to take getting used to cuz I'm used to Street boards... But I'm quickly getting the hang of it and it is definitely worth it
This board is absolutely incredible! It is definitely a little on the heavy side being around 40 pounds. But the range you get is great. The stability is great. The board feel and CNC trucks are phenomenal. I highly recommend this board
The Nomad N3 is a tank of a board with great looks, wonderful ride quality and enough power to tow a dog trailer up mountains. I’ve put about 300 miles on the board so far with zero issues. It’s truely an impressive piece of engineering, 5 Stars :)
